This terrific turmeric Golden Milk drink is packed with powerful healing properties.


  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp ginger powder
  • A sprinkle black pepper
  • honey to taste.
  • Step 1 Place 2 cups of milk in a saucepan over medium heat.
  • Step 2 Add 1 teaspoon dried turmeric or one-half inch fresh turmeric thinly sliced or diced.
  • Step 3 Add 1 teaspoon dried ginger or one-half inch fresh ginger thinly sliced or diced.
  • Step 4 Add a dash of black pepper.
  • Step 5 Stir well, especially if you are using the dried spices.
  • Step 6 Let the milk begin to simmer. Small bubbles will form on the sides of the saucepan. Ensure you stir!
  • Step 7 Allow to heat for another minute or two being careful not to let the milk overheat.
  • Step 8 Continue to stir at this point to get better heat distribution and so that the milk does not burn.
  • Step 9 Turn off heat, cover and allow the golden milk mixture to infuse for ten minutes.
  • Step 10 Strain the golden milk through a sieve if you have used fresh ingredients.
  • Step 11 Add honey, adjusting to taste.
  • Step 12 Serve your golden milk warm.


While completely natural and safe if you intend adding a large amount of turmeric to your diet you should seek medical advice.  It’s properties can slow blood clotting therefore may be harmful for those people who are already prescribed and taking anticoagulant medication.
